YERP ELIGIBILITY & APPLICATION

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

In order to be eligible for the Youth Employment Readiness Program, you must meet ALL of the following qualifications:

  • Be between 15-30 (Inclusive). 

  • Must have a completed high school diploma (OSSD) or GED.

  • A Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a protected person as defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. Please note: Social Insurance Numbers (SIN) starting with 9, are not eligible.

  • Legally entitled to work in Canada and according to relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations. 

  • Be able to attend daily in-person employment skills training sessions in Oshawa. Monday-Friday. 10AM - 4PM.

Are you able to attend in person sessions in Oshawa, full-time, Monday-Friday between 10:00-4:00? Please remember, if you cannot attend sessions during this time, you are not currently eligible for the program. *
Do you have access to a laptop that you can use during sessions? (It's okay if you don't). *
Do you have your drivers license?
If you do have your license, do you have access to a car?
